'Starlight' Upon Burton

Burton’s riverside sparkles like never before as it invites Canvas of Light: Starlight by Luxmuralis, to transform our historic town centre into a cacophony of sound and light.

Starlight Water Tower & Library Activities

This Christmas, two of Burton’s most iconic landmarks come alive with festive spirit. The Water Tower and St Modwen’s Church will be illuminated with beautiful and contemporary images of Christmas old and new.

Starlight Christmas Market and Garden of Rememberance

Linking the two sites, a line of lit archways will take you through the recently renovated Garden of Remembrance.

The Best of Burton showcases local makers, independent traders, and festive flavours with their wonderful Christmas Night Market in the Market Place.

Burton Library lets in the night air, giving little elves the chance to deliver their last-minute Christmas wishes to Santa and dance till bedtime with all their favourite Christmas songs.

Captain Sprout at The Brewhouse

The Brewhouse Arts Centre presents festive family theatre at its finest with Captain Sprout – a Christmas adventure that’ll have the whole family laughing, gasping, and believing in the power of Brussels sprouts (yes, really!).

When Christmas dinner needs saving and only one unlikely hero can answer the call, Captain Sprout springs into action with more vegetable-based heroics than you can shake a carrot stick at. This isn’t your ordinary pantomime – it’s a riotous, heartwarming celebration of all things festive, packed with jokes for every generation, music that’ll have you humming all the way home, and just enough silliness to remind us that Christmas is for letting go and having fun.

Burton’s creative heart beats year-round at The Brewhouse, but Christmas brings out something extra special. Grab your tickets, bring the family, and discover why Captain Sprout is Burton’s unlikeliest – and most beloved – Christmas hero.
